Star of stage and screen David McPhail is best known for television programmes including ‘McPhail & Gadsby’, ‘Letter to Blanchy’ and ‘Seven Periods With Mr Gormsby’. In 2008 he was appointed an Officer of the New Zealand Order of Merit in recognition of services to television and the theatre.
