Dion burst onto the international cricket scene with 11 wickets and a half-century in his fifth Test and his first at Lord’s in 1994. His cricket career was plagued by unfortunate back problems which challenged him both mentally and physically, but his all-round talent, aggressive attitude, leadership and – above all – fighting spirit makes him a legend of New Zealand cricket.
