From truck-stop waitress to Cabinet minister, Paula Bennett is having a remarkable life. She raised her daughter single-handedly while working various jobs in hospitality, secretarial and retail roles, before eventually becoming a Cabinet minister with the roles of Minister for Social Development and Employment, Minister for Disability Issues and Minister of Youth Affairs.
